Vehicle Compatibility Notes
This product does not charge:
- iPhone 3G™
- iPod nano™
(4th Generation)
- iPod touch™ (2nd Generation)
These models require the purchase of an iSimple™, IS710 “Re:Volt”
Charging Adapter (sold separately)
- Not compatible with radios that have a built in 6 disc CD Changer
- Not
compatible with any factory external audio source such as: XM tuner*, CD Changer or Casette player. These devices must be
disconnected and will no longer function. *If you are an experienced installer you can retain XM in GM vehicles, please see
the Tech Brief section below.
Vehicle Specific Notes
Acura/Honda
- Navigation radios are not compatible
Audi
- Vehicles equipped with
a "Symphony Sound" system require the AB-AUDIF harness as well as the AB-VWF harness.
Buick/Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC/Hummer/Oldsmobile/Pontiac
- Radio must be equipped with a "TAPE/AUX" button or a "CD/AUX" button to be compatible.
- 1995-1999
radios that have a built in CD player (except Corvette) are not compatible because they do not have CD Changer control functions
- 1998-2004
GM vehicles NOT equipped with a factory slave unit may not be able to support an external device therefore the iPAC-OEM may
not be compatible
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep
- Radio MUST have "Disc ^"
printed on preset number one
- 1999 Chrysler vehicles have one of two different style radios. These two radios use different
harnesses. The shape of the radio face will determine which harness you will use. If your radio face is SQUARE, you will use
the AB-CHR95 harness. If your radio face is OVAL, you will use the AB-CHR99 harness.
- 2002-2005 Vehicles: Radio
models REF, REC, RAK & RAQ are not compatible. The model number is indicated on the face of the radio.
Ford/Lincoln/Mercury
- Not compatible in Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles equipped with a Blaupunkt sound system
Toyota/Lexus/Scion
- Not compatible with Hybrid vehicles
Volkswagen
- Navigation radios
are not compatible
- Whenever possible, we reccomend using the AB-VWF or the AB-VW3 harness and install the module behind
the radio. This will avoid the possibility of inherent noise problems with the factory CD Changer cable that is found in some
vehicles
- Double-DIN radios require the AB-VW3 harness
- Single-DIN radios require the AB-VWF harness
